For 27 years I collected papers, stamps, ribbons, and embellishments — layering memories onto pages and calling it scrapbooking. I didn't call myself an artist. Artists went to school for that.  But somewhere along the way I noticed my pages looked different from everyone else's. More layered. More textured. More dimensional. I wasn't just documenting memories — I was making art. I just hadn't given myself permission to say it.

That realization changed everything — and it's the reason I teach.

I'm a self-taught mixed media artist with 15 years of creating and 5 years of teaching women both online and in person. I work out of my home studio inspired by nature, my garden, and the bees my husband and I keep together. I create with texture at the heart of everything — not just art you look at, but art you can't help but touch. My textures come from everywhere: nature, thrift shops, found objects, packing materials, vintage doilies, things most people walk right past.

My teaching philosophy is simple — I leave the mistakes in. The pivots, the happy accidents, the "that's not working so let's try this" moments — because that's where the real learning lives.

I teach women just like me. Scrapbookers with bins of supplies they can't throw away. Crafters who are ready for something more. Creative souls who have been making beautiful things their whole lives but haven't called themselves artists yet.

You don't need new supplies. You don't need art school. You just need a new lens — and someone to show you the way.
